Con un decreto approvato il 26 giugno scorso, il governo ha ritardato al 31 dicembre 2009 il termine per la sospensione delle esecuzioni di sfratto, precedentemente fissato al 30 giugno. Il decreto “milleproroghe”, come è già stato ribattezzato, riguarda i comuni capoluogo di provincia, i comuni confinanti con più di 10.000 abitanti e i centri ad alta tensione abitativa.
Il provvedimento intende arginare un problema sempre più diffuso: secondo i dati elaborati dal ministero dell’interno, nel 2008 sono stati emessi 51.390 provvedimenti di sfratto (+17,14% rispetto al 2007), 138.040 richieste di esecuzione (+26,13%) mentre sono stati eseguiti 24.966 sfratti (+11,25%).
